Hi everyone! I’m going to show you a quick and easy way to make paper earrings that look and feel like they’re made out of a synthetic material. You’ll need craft paper, a craft punch, glue varnish and a paintbrush. For long earrings you’ll also need earring hooks, a hole punch and pliers. For stud earrings you’ll need stud bases and a strong contact glue. For the circular earrings I’m punching out 4 circles of a patterned, textured card paper and 6 of a solid color craft paper. Add glue varnish to each circle and stick them together. With mine, I’m using a solid color in the middle and the patterned paper on the outer sides. Once all circles stick together, add glue varnish to the edge and the front and back as well. Once that’s dry, add a few more layers of the glue varnish to make your paper very sturdy and protected. It will look and feel similar to plastic. Once everything is nice and dry, punch a hole in each circle. Now you can attach your earring hooks! As you can see these earrings are very pretty and you can cut any shape you’d like and use any patterned or colored paper. I did the same thing with a smaller craft punch to make stud earrings. I just used some stock paper and glued three layers together with the glue varnish in the same way I did with the circular earrings. Once they were dry, I attached them to the stud bases with very strong contact glue. I just love how incredibly easy and inexpensive these earrings are to make! Don’t you?
