IN THIS TUTORIAL: Pay attention to all the details for a long lasting decoration Turn on the CC for detailed info DIY TERRACOTTA FLOWER POT PEOPLE DIY PROJECTS HOLIDAYS CRAFTS AND DECORATIONS DIY PROJECTS FOR KIDS COOKING RECIPES DIY CRAFTS HANDMADE PROJECTS IDEAS FOR YOUR HOME AND FAMILY MUSETA WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Terracotta pots in the desired size Outdoor Paint ( details in description ) Some tools: pliers, paint brushes, scissors, lighter, etc A template for the face, link available on the blog article Nuts, bolts, washers, grommets, and some rope First pick the desired pots size you wish to work with First step it’s to drill the holes we need Carefully not to brake the pots For the hands we need one hole on two of the little pots On the top side we need two holes to attach the pot to the “head” On the left side we need the two holes for the left hand On the front side we need two holes for the legs And two more holes on the right side for the right hand On the “head” pot we will drill two holes to match the ones in the other pot Then clean all the dust from the holes using a brush Finish the cleaning with a slightly wet cloth Start painting the first exterior layer of paint in the desired color Let it dry well before the second coating Carefully paint the holes so the water won’t infiltrate in the terracotta pot Stat painting the small pots as well Four of the little pots will be painted entirely Let them dry well then we will paint the second layer For the “head’ pot I’m creating my own color combination I will paint this one in two layers of coating inside and outside as well The reason is that this is the pot that it will hold the flowers For the rest of the pots we only paint one single layer inside This is the way I’m preparing to transfer the drawing We wanted a naughty pot face for this one ( smiling ) This step it’s optional, but I always like adding an extra touch You can paint anything you want Let them dry over night Transfer the face drawing to the pot Clean any unwanted marks Here you pick the colors you want depending on your design With patience add the finishing touches Now we are done and we can start putting all together Prepare the ropes we will use for the hands and legs I’m burning the ends to keep them together I’m using two shorter ones for the hands, and two longer ones for the legs Let’s start with the hands using the first little pot with the drilled hole Over the knot, I’m adding a washer Then I add some hot glue on the washer Add some more hot glue on top to cover the entire hole Make a sign at 25mm for the second pot Place one grommet at the sign we just made and fix it with some pliers Then add another washer as in the first step We add some glue on the washer like before And some more hot glue to cover the entire hole Make sure the pot it’s straight Now we repeat the steps for the rest Make sure the last one on top it’s one of those painted entirely On the last one I’m also adding one grommet Use the screw with a washer to install the first hand Add another washer and the nut but not too tight Place the end of the rope inside and decide on the hand’s position Fix the rope the same way with the washer and the grommet Pull the rope as tight as you want and compress the grommet with the pliers Reinforce it with some hot glue and cut the excess rope Now you can tighten the screws but carefully not to brake the pots Repeat the steps for the other hand and the legs The rope ends for the legs are about 60mm long Fix the ends the same way we did for the hands Put some hot glue on the base pot Then place the “head” pot on top and fix them with the screws and nuts Now you have company for your morning coffee Don’t forget to like and subscribe
