How to Make Wood Art : How to Paint Green Bottles on Wood Art

Hi, my name is David Clemen on behalf of Expert
Village. Today we’re going to paint on a piece of scrap wood that you find anywhere. We got
everything done except for the last bottle and no kitchen shelf painting is right without
a green medicine bottle or I guess it can be an old wine bottle or something. But, I’m
going to come in here and take this dark green with black and I’m actually going to mix in
a little bit of white to soften it up. Both of my grandma’s have these greens bottles
everywhere I’m sure you seen them in antique shops and thrift stores and things like that.
So I’m going to mix those colors in, the white really brought it down to the color that you
typically see. I probably could even go a little bit lighter, this piece of wood has dust on it so I don’t
have to worry about painting the dust that is always on the green bottles you see. Fill
this in take some of this white and give it another glare here, glare, glare down the
side and come back in and get some of this darker stuff on the end of the bottle. There
you have it a green bottle to finish up the shelf.
