# How to Draw in 3-Point Perspective: Narrated

hello my name is Tom McPherson and welcome to my new video how to draw in three-point perspective from a worm’s eye point of view looking low down and up at the same time the first step is to draw a low horizontal line and then to draw two vanishing points at either end of this horizontal line next draw a third vanishing point at the top and center of your page now draw a vertical line from this top vanishing point all the way to the horizontal line at the base next to make a mark on this vertical line about three-quarters of the way up and then from this mark we can draw a diagonal line to the right vanishing point and then another diagonal line to the left vanishing point next draw a line from the right of the top vanishing point and then another from the left of the top vanishing point all the way to the horizontal line at the base of the paper next draw dot a little above this lower horizontal line and then from this dot we need to draw a diagonal line to the left vanishing point and then another one to the right vanishing point below this dot we draw another dot and then we will repeat the process of drawing two more diagonal lines to each of the vanishing points now draw another dot on the vertical line and then down to this dot two more diagonal lines going to each of the vanishing points next month two dots on these diagonal lines Ever side of the vertical line and then draw two more diagonals going through these dots and starting at the top higher vanishing point now we can repeat this on the left and right the building to draw the left and right corners of the building next if we draw . above this lower diagonal line then we can repeat two more diagonal lines and this i can make into an overhang on the first floor of the building we can find where the corners go at the left corner of this overhang will go to the right vanishing point and the right corner of the overhang will go to the left vanishing point in the same way we can draw a shape inside the building to be the lower beam of the building on the first floor from now on all the diagonal lines will go to aldi but the left vanishing point the right branching point or the higher vanishing point now we have the lower floor of this imagine building i can speed up the video so that you can see how the drawing develops of time I’ll add a crushed coke can in the gutter towards the front at the base of the drawing and some smaller cracks and details at the bottom of the curb of the road also had some time to one side of the building and darken probably the lower overhangs of the building as well so they’re really dark No what thank you very much for watching this tutorial i hope you find it useful for your own drawings please subscribe to my pre our channel circular not school where you might like to see some of my other half strawberry days I posed to me video every week if you like this video please give it a thumbs up and leave a comment keep drawing and see you next time
