How to be a Poweruser with Bianca

How to be a Poweruser with Bianca

yeah so what does that make you think of when you have extra permissions or root permissions on a computer so when you have like administrative yeah so when you're an admin yeah when you're running something within your rights okay so someone that has more I guess security clearance and stuff like that exactly and also someone maybe someone who is using the system and has done a lot on that specific system so they're like maybe you're on the Olli darling go and you have like 50 days streak or something so you're probably using I don't know if that's the thing but that's what I can think of so someone that has like that spent a lot of time or what a lot of time and energy and they have leverage into this thing they're using uh-huh so they know like tricks and tips on how to do it faster yeah we ready yeah maybe well that's kind of what it is you're pretty close so let's just continue all right so first we've got some questions oh sorry go ahead I noticed the pattern in the first slide that's your initial story it's our logo it is you wanna take a closer look look there's yep yeah in case you're curious see how one is a little bit longer than the other because this one's a J and this one's an eye yeah yeah make sense from Johnny yeah all right so first question is what comes to mind when you hear the term power user right we've already kind of said talked about that right mm-hmm so go ahead and read the next question how do you currently interface with technology well I use my phone for social stuff and yeah basically for calling people messaging people for some productivity apps and I use my computer for work for coping and for writing content so use a phone and a computer boat like when you use it how do you use it like do you touch it with your finger do you say positive yeah and they have that track bed I think it's called Jackman under my so yeah touch screen trackpad yeah on a computer I use my fingerprint the login yeah okay so fingerprint scanner that's on both the computer and the laptop I use the headphones to listen to stuff headphones yeah okay and you're missing one big thing well screen oh yeah okay uh another big thing on a computer the keyboard yeah the keyboard okay I forgot about the keyboard yeah I did there's another way that you can that you can like vocal commands yeah vocal commands that's sure but that's not very good why because they're the vocal commands aren't very good yet I mean Syrian Tunder stand me like half the time and stuff or Alexa or Google mm-hmm what about like like a pen you know how some touchscreens have pens mm-hmm yeah how's that called a pen oh I don't know how that goes a pen yeah just a pen okay super useful come on questions on this line what do you use your pen for that seemed like a normal pen is that the special yeah no it's a normal pen see yeah okay it has two buttons on this side see the two buttons here mm-hmm it's usually good my laptop is a two-in-one so it like it folds all the way back and it's good when I only use this touchscreen because it's easier to right-click and I can hover over the screen so I can see where my mouse pointer is what you can't do if you use only your finger mm-hmm yeah what's your favorite way of I don't know interfacing with technology I guess my trackpad because it's pretty big and the keyboard yeah so those two combined and I also like vocal comments but as I said it's not that smart yeah yeah cool let's move on to the next slide and if we just have time we're gonna go back to these pictures so we can start doing some descriptions but we'll do that at the end okay so now we got some reading go ahead okay so a power user is a computer user who uses advanced features of computer hardware operating systems programs or websites which are not used by the average user okay car users may not have extensive technical knowledge of the systems they use and may not be capable of computer programming or system administration but is rather characterized by the competence or desire to make the most intensive use of computer programs or systems yeah very good yeah you read that perfectly except I noticed that when you pronounce the word advance you pronounced it with the British accent okay and do I do I pronounce the rest of it with my very connection mostly yeah but that one is the one that stood out the most a power user is a computer user who uses advanced features of computer hardware yeah you said advanced yes yeah yeah I know I'm very confused with British versus American pronunciation and I don't know when I do it because I've learned I've no inflation vision school yeah exactly so I mean it's it's up to you it's your preference how you want to pronounce it right but I noticed that okay yeah any questions on this side I'm curious whether where is it characterized by the competence or the desire to make the most data user whatever it isn't it just that you get administrate their permissions and then your power users regardless of what you know or don't know those are super users I think oh yeah yeah I'm confusing them yeah user computer somewhere with special privileges okay yeah you're right see is there yep I remember that because I used to jailbreak my phones and you have to become a super user to do that hmm so power user uses stuff that it's not used by the average user okay kind of just a little more reading it'll explain some more let's go ahead and move on to that okay our users can require different user interface elements compared to regular user users as they may need less help and fewer cues the per user might use a program full time compared to a casual or occasional users and that's a program which caters the power users will typically include features that make the interface enter press interface yeah interface easier for experts to use even if these features might be mystifying to beginners there can be a learning curve the becoming a power user depending on the hardware and software you did really good but I think let me just read this one sentence welcome a power user might use a program full time compared to a casual or occasional users and that's a program which caters to power users will typically include features that make the interface easier for experts to use try reading that part one more time okay a power user my Hughes might use a program full time compared to a casual or occasional users and that's a program which caters to program the power users will typically include features that make the interface the interface easier for experts to use okay good the fewers that i pronounced differently is include you you it's more yeah I say include yeah caters I think you pronounce it caters or something like that yeah but that's also kind of reference it's not wrong necessarily any questions on this slide no cool okay-dokey Dan more reading whenever you're ready go ahead okay so a typical example is a extensive keybindings like ctrl F or alt enter having keyboard bindings and shortcuts for many functions it functions is a hallmark of power user centric software design as it enables user who users who put forth more effort to learn the shortcuts to operate the program quickly without removing removing their hands from the keyboard our users typically want to operate the software with few interactions or as fast as possible and also be able to perform tasks in a precise exactly reproducible way we're cage casual users may be happy in if the program can be intuitively made to do approximately what they wanted very good don't worry nurse you might pronounced differently is reproducible you said reproducible and I say reproducible yeah okay I'm just make this an ass make sense I didn't know the what parties are meant before us mm-hmm good now you're learning something new by the way can you see my cursor like screen sure like is it really visible mm-hmm okay cool because I increase the size of my cursor and I wanted to see if it makes a difference or not I don't know I see good yeah questions on this side no all right no go ahead go to next one which is vocabulary okay first one is extensive extensive covering or affecting the large area competence the ability the ability to do something successfully or efficiently mystifying utterly bewildering or perplexing let me try reading that mystifying utterly bewildering or perplexing utterly the world they will drink bewildering bewildering yeah okay utterly bewildering or perplexing utterly bewildering or perplexing make sure you don't pronounce it like a D sound utter thee you know it might sound like I'm doing it like a D sound but I'm pronouncing everybody's like lightly pronounced T utterly bewildering or perplexing okay I know I either pronounce a B or a T so yeah if you're going to do that you you're better off doing the T okay so utterly utterly yeah bewildering bewildering bewildering they do like the wheel during wheel doing bewildering okay or perplexing perplexing okay we're flexing yeah okay okay got it at least in theory yeah okay good go ahead and continue when you're ready okay learning curve the rate of a person's progress and gaining experience or new skills okay wait wait so the one word there you also pronounced other differently uh notice the rate of a person's progress in gaining experience or new skills yeah you said progress okay progress yeah I was reading out loud this morning something and international and I was editing like international and remember you said national salute like international okay my lessons are sticking okay intuitively without conscious reasoning instinctively and hallmark distinctive feature did you ever recently use like a new phone or something and you had to learn how to use it not recently like a year ago I bought a MacBook and it's a bit different from the computers I've been using I had been using like were using Microsoft like no it was similar because I was using an inline linux-based systems before Linux yeah no I have never done any hacking whatsoever oh that's too bad hmm what about something like a new feature or new way of using technology like me for example I recently got a computer that's touchscreen and has one of these pens and there's a learning curve to using a computer with a touchscreen and using these pens because you had to know when to use them and stuff like that oh yeah I mean my netbook has a touch bar yeah what's that curve like for that I only use the emojis of the pad bar in the escape button and I accidentally touched the Siri button and I never need the Siri but if I did intentionally right it's close to the power button so that's why I keep touching it okay any questions on this slide no don't let's continue questions why should you want to be a power user yeah why should you because you're using the system's faster and you can argue tricks and tips that make other people amazed by your skills because they don't know what what you're doing they're just pressing random keys on a keyboard on your screen just like yeah exactly especially if something happens afterwards yeah so you can impress others with your super school cool skills yes I remember in my first internship at Google my host was like very good in him that's an editor and she was like incredibly fast with shortcuts and I was amazed but I forgot yeah it takes practice you have to train yourself to use them because it has to become just like habitual or intuitive you know yeah exactly and if you don't use them first for some time they get out yeah one time I was working at it like a sales job and I had to like click a lot of buttons to call the next person and I found a way to do it really fast and I didn't notice my manager was right behind me and after I finished a call he was like wow I've never seen anyone do that that fast cool have you seen Forrest Gump yeah do you remember how fast he used to clean his gun no they were in a they were in a dorm room or something and they were all cleaning their guns and the instructor was like through it as fast as you can and he will keep the detonation under a minute or something and the others were taking like three minutes or a lot more and so the guy looked at him very bewildered yeah that's how I that's how I am with computers and phones and no Angie and stuff I spent a lot of time on that stuff so I don't want to spend more time you know mm-hmm okay next question so what are some useful keyboard shortcuts okay so there is ctrl F for fine is it was previously mentioned control-c control-v the classical staff control there is control the bretton hmm that one I don't know I think I've used it some good control eh yeah okay I have some custom shortcuts but yeah my control option and in space for changing the language oh yeah yeah you can you can do command and stuff on a MacBook yeah some other useful keyboard shortcuts help me out I don't know yeah okay I mean you can come up with what I was ctrl s if you ever want to save some so yeah if you want to close a window don't do that now oh yeah I'll tab yeah I'll tap I use that a lot alt tab what else don't use a lot oh yeah when I'm using Chrome I use ctrl T to get a new tab or ctrl W to close it control-shift-n to open an incognito you can do is was it option or out one two three to open specific tabs control one and two okay we can do ctrl tab to tab to them or control shift tab to go backwards yep and also if you're here in an editor and control shift tab in some editors does the reverse of what would have no shift tab does a reverse the reverse of what the pepper do yeah yeah and there's also like other shortcuts on the phone for example can you see my cursor it's on the backspace button yeah so on on the phone none it's on Android if you hold down the backspace and then drag your finger to the left it highlights whole entire words so you can delete whole words wait let's like say that again so you can hold back space and then you drag your finger towards the left or turn right it starts highlighting the words really yeah yeah so you can give your whole entire words or you can press and hold the space bar and go left and right to go more accurately between the letters I just learned about that like yesterday I never you I've never used some shortcuts actually on the keyboard keep the word pressed and then I can select it using the touch screen know if you can see let's see if this works no I have my where is it that place is right here yeah I didn't do it right you know I'm doing it so see how it's like highlighting them nice I'm gonna use it yeah or the spacebar oops see is that going in between so just slide on the spacebar yeah just light on the spacebar okay Pro tips life hacks okay um how about we try describing one of these pictures I want you to try and do this one with the girl I want to describe it in a complete sentence I'm gonna write down word for word exactly what you say okay a girl is standing at a desk with a computer and a tablet in front of her and she is looking at the computer and seems to be writing something on the tablet while writing something on the tablet maybe that's a big sentence all right let's take a look a girl is standing first of all I don't think she's standing okay soothing mmm she's sitting at a desk with a computer and a tablet in front of her and she's looking yeah and she's looking at the computer while writing something on the tablet and is used two times right and it's not really good to use the same word twice it's it's good to kind of change it up so how might you change it up well I would split it in two sentences but if I were to do it in one circles one sentence well I think a Khobar would break it but not okay okay so let's look at some of the sentence you say she's looking at the computer so how can we take this part out and put it next to the other part that says computer a girl is sitting at a desk looking mom yeah looking looking at a computer well tablet in front of her that she's using to take notes or something trying describing what she's doing and on first and then on what okay um so a girl's sitting at a desk looking at a computer while well using a Fender on a on a tablet yeah you can even describe where or where the tablet is you can say right next to the computer or whatever okay oh well I have no idea what she's doing on the tablet to be honest but maybe she might be just using some software right now she's just sitting there doing nothing because this probably won't actually happened when they took that picture yeah I'm actually just like looking at her hair who actually like her hair is like going all the way across mm-hmm it's gonna fall on her face and it's gonna be bothersome so it's not a realistic picture because girls don't actually work with their hair in the face you know yeah they don't they just want to pose with hair the face probably and also it's bad posture the way she's sitting she's like sitting over like hunched over mm-hmm one second yeah I don't think I think most people wouldn't realize I wouldn't be aware of her posture are you are you aware of your posture I mean maybe sometimes you have terrible posture I know I do yeah I sometimes seek me with my feet on the table when I know okay well don't give me one second I need to get in a napkin okay sorry about that I spilled something okay no way that's what happens when you have drinks next to you dangerous yeah yeah well it's thanks to me if the cleanup all right let's move on to the next picture so no because documents that I saw before I think are pretty yeah yeah this is a stock image it's not mine but the other ones on the previous slides were mine mm-hmm okay go ahead and try try your hand at this image okay um a person is using MacBook with both hands with their hands play with a hand placed on the keyboard and the hand placed on the end placed how about with one hand with one hand placed on the keyboard yeah the other the other on the trackpad mm-hmm I'm trying to figure out where to put the wallet this phone and the camera Dez that's a laugh yeah it looks like a lens you can probably describe what's next to the laptop maybe somewhere near where it says macbook person using it is using a MacBook you know placed love yeah placed between the Oh place you know how to use that word I'm just suggesting mm-hmm um standing near I wouldn't say stealing okay well place it here for the wallet and a lens camera lens and they have one hand on the keyboard today used a because it's politically correct no I don't think they works in this in this situation right now we have a person who's sitting or sonya person is using a MacBook placed near a phone a wallet and a lens with one hand placed on the keyboard and the other on the trackpad the only thing you're missing is the table the pattern that the that's on the table and maybe like a watch yeah the watch I don't know how you would include that maybe you can say placed I think it's good though how about you move on to the next picture okay this one's pretty simple there's a pair of air pods on a white background on a white reflective table no white on a reflective white table surface yeah surface but how are they positioned in relation to each other well they're in the part that's going into your ear is opposite oh so they're they're lying like opposite somehow yeah they're kind of parallel but um and they they're facing up those opposite directions though I don't know how to describe it today there's a pair of fair pods you don't have to say necessarily like how they're looking but just like instead of on try describing and using like resting on a reflective service or resting next to each other next each other yeah well resting next to each other seems like a good fit yeah so resting next to each other mm-hmm cool questions on this one um no maybe I could have described focus that's on one of them but like only one of the airports is in focus yeah that's true how about we try some more pictures how about this one this is a picture I took so remember a complete sentence and I'm going to try I'm going to write down every word you're saying a guy dressed in a in a yellow or orange that's a yellow clothes clothes Loki is taking a picture looks to be taking a picture and uh well on the edge of a both Fundy on the edge of a boat yeah I mean trying to figure out how to describe it because I don't know how it's cold maybe it's not the thing that he's wearing or the both no no the bow the place he's in and the fact that he's near water and the fact that he's probably on a boat but maybe just on a river water from yeah yeah you can't tell it's hard to tell you know yeah so I maybe I could describe the water instead of the place he's sitting like what's he what is what he's seeing so a guy dressed in the yellow cloak looks to be taking a picture on the edge of a boat maybe in front of a water source in front of oh how about most most likely in a what would you say that is like a river or a lake or I'd say it's a river because it has some movements of the water yeah most likely on a river but how would you describe the stuff like the other boat and in the other side of the fixture of the picture and like the stuff in the background like the building on the right and that sort of stuff with a colorful boat floating in the background and some buildings and a tall tower maybe let's say some buildings how are they positioned behind-the-back behind it in the background maybe mm-hmm well I already said in the background and some reason behind it maybe on the water founder rebirth how about some with some buildings on the horizon the horizon okay huh horizon means the line that's crossing through the middle of that view yeah so the horizon in this case would be the the space in between the sky and the ground which is what is full of buildings mm-hmm all right so a guy dressed in the yellow cloak looks to be taking a picture on the edge of a boat most likely on a river with the colourful boat floating in the background or some buildings on the horizon and some buildings and some buildings on the horizon other thing I'll change change looks and I would change that too seems seems to be taking a picture oh yeah or looks like he's taking of it well looks like you see yes it seems fits better than didn't looks hmm no dressed in the yellow cloak seems to be taking a picture on the edge of a boat most likely floating in the background some buildings on the horizon is that the close though oh it's I would call that more like a tunic so Nick yeah do you and I see yep – you and I see let's see see I kinda like this right well it doesn't look the same monk to be okay hmm it's who did whatever there we go I see orange genic orange tunic yeah so it looks like this guy's wearing something like this or a robe yeah robe cool questions on this picture okay this one seems more more fun let's do this one okay a woman is point is holding a smartphone in her left hand while pointing at the screen with her index finger after the index finger of her right hand and her head tilted towards the right looking at the phone she's also resting her elbows on the table in front of a computer monitor I think there's like you went into detail about certain things but you didn't really talk too much about like all the stuff in the picture you mostly talked about her and the phone but you didn't include things like maybe the tattoo on her wrist or the color of her dress the color of her hair it's like red in the background maybe it's just plain white background or the laptop to the side okay maybe a how do you call people who have a friend hair redheads is there another way for you like something woman adept an adjective woman like a blonde woman or a redhead okay a redhead Oh ginger ginger that's another one is it politically correct some of the words are not politically person I don't know which I think red I think redhead is pretty is a pretty safe bet okay down let's double check we'd had no redhead without an A is it a real word maybe it's informal I've heard it before sighs a country a real word and I see it no okay so says Google says it's an own looking look at the time when it was popular Wow yeah so it's yeah you can use it it's a known redhead yeah but calling someone a redhead Bismil your wouldn't do it in the form of formal setting right I mean it depends on the context if you're if you're just having like a casual conversation it's not like you're putting someone down that they're redhead you know do you think do you think other people would get upset if you do that I don't know what do you mean you don't know have you tried it no and Justin white and today because how's the word heaven well it has part of the word is red and the other part is head so maybe it's like butt face or something yeah okay but what face is different because that's you know a different part of the body that's not very pleasant and just I'm just not sure how would have equality to people you can call them they have you can say that they have red hair or you can call them red heads mm-hmm I don't think it's derogatory and if someone takes offense to that maybe you should reconsider why you're their friend thank you got it okay but you can't say a red head is forming as my brain shaken that's known red head isn't known right she's already maybe you're not you're not mentioning it's a she I want to specify this it's a woman a redhead you can you can mention that later when you refer to her when you say the word her later in the sentence you can start the sentence like this so a red redhead is hmm so you said holding a smartphone in her left hand while pointing at the screen with her index finger with the index finger of her right hand do you I don't think you really need to specify that she's holding it in like her left hand or right hand you can shorten that sentence by just saying a redhead is pointing at her phone with her index finger yeah but she she could her her phone could be on the table and it's not there could be imagine a scenario where she's like going thing of something that's on the table look here's my phone okay a redhead is holding up her phone and pointing at it with her index finger okay all right so that leaves us with more flexibility to add more to this sentence because if I said left hand the right finger it would be a very long sentence mm-hmm my redhead is holding up her phone and pointing at it with her index finger cool so we know that she has red hair and tushy yes and she's holding her phone up and she's pointing at it how would you describe like the outfit or the environment she's in she's dressed in a polka dress yeah so a redhead is holding up her phone and pointing at it with her index finger dressed in a what what kind of outfit I think it's a pool car okay oh good that you know polka dotted dress you can see maybe it's a shirt I don't know I don't know blouse outfit outfit I don't know what that thing is mm-hmm I'm not a girl dressed in a but what color is it you can put that right before polka dotted blue is it navy blue okay so it's blue and the color that said Navy but I'm not sure what's maybe is not that well either one works but it's not just blue or navy it's also something else like the dots themselves are what color wait yes so in a blue and white polka dotted outfit okay and one last thing she's sitting in front of her computer redhead is holding up her phone and pointing at it with your index finger just doing my polka-dotted outfit while well sitting at a desk in front of her computer yeah or you could just say well sitting in front of her computer okay there we go good job questions on that picture you at how would you add this tattoo into the sense holding up her phone with a width up tattoos and honestly I wouldn't because they were just kind of confused mm-hmm all right that's continued but before we do let me just copy and paste it using my super user or power user commands control V Oh what did I just do hello I don't see anything yeah did I just break it no idea but you can go into revisions and or hit control Z yeah I'm sure yeah it takes like a minute to load a lot of chores that are probably taking a lot of time to that yeah maybe you could add the new lessons at the top of document they played you don't have to scroll that's pretty smart that's a great suggestion maybe I will do that maybe I actually will do that you know what so I don't forget I'm gonna put it at the end of this lesson because I'm gonna look at it when I go to the next time and I'm gonna back oh okay cool so let's try making some sentences now from the vocabulary word words okay my grandma has extensive cooking knowledge I want to increase my competence and with regards to design or in design I want to increase my competence competence oh my or you could say I want to increase my degree of competence okay in what in design good I find it mystifying that a lot of people don't know what control-c does yeah very useful command questions on this side no I asked move on to some sentences more sentences first one is learning curve thus the system has a steep learning curve but once you get hold of it you can do lots of things system has a steep steep learning curve but once you get that hold them on it alright so you get a good grip the hang of it okay the system has to think I want to get the hang of it what was the rest of the sentence you can do many things yeah you can do anything yeah intuitively okay I just know intuitively that this is not a good decision what is what is yeah what is what is not a good decision and I didn't think of making the sentence okay okay um mark the hole mark was some things special enough no no no I'm just trying to remember what homework is so home ours was something special like the special feature of what's feature never know what it was it's like something that characterizes an object or thing yeah the thing that really distinguishes it the most the hallmark cover of the new MacBook is the big track man the MacBook Pro Pro is the big Trek pen yeah I'm sure the other bicycle has a similarly big one so maybe not new but yeah you know what they say bigger is better all right so there's those sentences boom boom all right that's filling some blanks I want to fill in the blanks with the vocab words there can be a learning curve yeah depending on the hardware and the soft and software our users are characterized by the competence or desire to make the most intensive use of computer programs or systems having keyboard bindings and shortcuts for many functions is a hallmark of our user centric software design perfect 10 out of 10 even though it's only three questions Thanks alright and the last night top three when your top three shortcuts hotkeys tips or tricks when using technology yeah definitely ctrl F is one of them ctrl F don't screw up there either everything that's to find stuff right yeah difensa used use two fingers when scrolling instead of dragging the scroll button yeah two fingers run scrolling you can't see me do it but I'm doing it now uh-huh also two fingers to zoom in and out see I didn't know that how did they how do you do there's two fingers on the trackpad one on Google Docs at least okay it also works on notepad see mmm-hmm I actually just just literally just figured that out okay five minutes ten minutes ago you probably saw me doing it earlier uh yeah didn't pay attention and DoubleTap onwards to select them I guess yeah double tapping words some of the advice that I would give is like when typing you can press ctrl + the arrow keys to jump in between words so notice how I'm jumping between these words and if you press and hold Shift + ctrl you can highlight words mm-hmm if you can if you don't want the wanna highlight one character you can just hold shift yep like this and that's super useful especially as like your programmer or coding coder you gotta go between all the code and you know so you just control arrow key mm-hmm I'm saying not that signature that's them I I really want to kiss right there yeah okay then print like a shortcut like list of shortcuts for all the software that you use and just put it right next to a computer when you use it so you can look at it and just practice doing them mm-hmm that's a good idea there did that I used to I did that before I didn't actually print something out I just opened up a window mm-hmm put it on the corner of my screen yeah I never use windows that I say Oh have a lot of fun I have like five pinned tabs and I sell them well I sometimes use them but not that often and I just paste these notes here cool well that brings us to the end of the lesson great do you have like any final comments concerns questions random random fact of the day just a question for you so you said you you're you want to speed up your typing and speed up your use of computers so how do you how did you learn to type faster did you try that how did I learn to type thank you sir I think video I took a computer typing class nidia yeah I was in high school no actually elementary school there's like I it was mandatory so when I was in I was in elementary school we all had to take like a computer class mm-hmm but to be honest I think the reason I'm really good at typing is because of video games okay I used to play a game called Starcraft and you can only type to to talk to people so you'd have to type all the time to talk to people but you can't play the game while typing so you'd have to stop what you're doing and type and so you're not to type fast you know okay yeah okay so I still don't use all of my fingers to type yeah that takes practice you have to consciously use the fingers on the right keys until you get used to it how long did it take you to get you soon I don't know if I can tell you like it's just like a constant thing I always try to make sure that I don't use the wrong fingers on the wrong keyboard but you just kind of get used to it but if you're actively practicing I don't know I think for me a few months I don't know mm-hmm so it's finger it's key it should be pressed with a specific finger right yeah okay because I think I press the same key with multiple fingers at times yeah I mean it's all preference right there's like optimized system like some keys are right in the middle like I don't know like hey Georgie yes f not so much hg b for example is right in the middle the spacebar like six or seven six maybe I guess you can all right graph has a indent on top of it that means that it should probably be pressed with a left yeah so that indent means that's where you need to put your index finger and then same thing on J that's why you need to put your index finger mm-hmm and then when you press shift you press with the pinky of the opposite hand so if I need to type up the word that starts with W and to capitalize it you need to press the right shift o or if you want to capitalize the letter like I which requires your right hand you have to press the left shift with your left pinky so that you don't stretch your hand in awkward ways oh yeah because I was I was pressing it with the same kind of thing mm-hmm and it's really important that you pay attention to that because if you don't use the keyboard properly you're gonna have wrist problems oh okay so I have to start turning right away yeah probably I mean I have I type a lot so sometimes my hand gets tired often it gets tired because the typos lot maybe I'm not as fast as your I'll just stop this recording
