Glass artist Paul J. Stankard assembles a botanical

it's interesting how the work is a combination of components and steps and we start off very basic and just building blocks add keep adding adding I love blueberries I love the memory of picking blueberries as a child I love nature and I would I remember going in the woods playing in the woods okay I'm taking these flame worked components and sealing them into a design that will be encapsulated in clear glass will incorporate the little figures into the design for me the biggest suggests mr. myth when I incorporate one human form into my floral design people accept it it's interesting it's a curiosity but when I put two and three together all of a sudden it becomes what are they doing there's a dialogue that's developed between the human forms and people want to read it as but they want to read the body language and oftentimes when I'm working with the human forms incorporating them into the flowers people's response is a lot more interesting than I ever imagined you did a beautiful job on that Kathy they're really hard to do we'll hold it I think that's perfect right you know a little a little spontaneity it works
