Floral & Pearls Nail Art Tutorial feat. Jord Wood Watches

Hey everyone! In this video I will be showing
you how to create this nail art design. It’s a really pretty floral pattern as well as
some subtle wood grain with some rhinestones and pearls. I was recently contacted by Jord and they
make amazingly beautiful wood watches. They sent me this beautiful watch to match some
nail art to for you guys. This is the Cora series women’s watch in Purpleheart and pearl.
All of their watches are made from natural and sustainably sourced wood and they have
a great selection of both men and women’s watches on their website. I will have a link
to both the website and exact watch that I have here down in the description. Now let’s
get on to the tutorial! Start by painting your nails with a white
and a dark red or plum color. The white that I have on my index and middle finger is French
White Creme by Wet ‘n’ Wild and the plum polish is Purr-fect Plum by China Glaze. Then use
a pearl polish. I”m using Tokyo Pearl by Sinful Colors and apply it over your white nails.
Instead of applying it vertically, I am applying it diagonally, because once the floral print
is on top of it, it’s going to look a lot nicer like that. The next step is optional. It’s very, very
subtle, but I wanted to give a wood grain effect to match the watch. I mixed acrylic
paint that was slightly darker than my base color. You can also use nail polish, I just
didn’t have one that looked good over this color. Using a small nail art brush, just
make some very random, slightly wavy lines vertically on your nails. Here you can see the lines because the paint
is matte, but once I apply top coat it will be very subtle and it will only be visible
in certain lights and up close. On the white nails I am creating a floral
pattern using a small nail art brush. First I am using a deep rosy pink color. This is
Life Is Rosy by China Glaze. And I’m making tiny small C shapes that kind of wrap around
each other. It’s a lot easier than you think, but it may take a little bit of practice to
get the spacing and the placement right. I did different clusters of about two or three
flowers. Then I did the exact same thing with an orange
polish. The one I used is If In Doubt, Surf It Out by China Glaze. Then I used a dark navy green to create some
leaves and I made them using some almond and triangular shapes. Once I finished the floral pattern I put a
top coat on all of my nails. The one that I used is Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Pro. And then to match the gems and the pearl facing
of the watch, I applied some rhinestones and some pearls. I did this by putting a little
drop of top coat and then sticking them on with, I think this is a sticky wax pencil,
I don’t know. It’s easy to pick up rhinestones and gems with it. You could also just use
a toothpick dipped in top coat. Same thing. And then to make the rhinestones and pearls
stay on my nails for a long time, I’m basically drowning them in top coat. I know some people
have a fit when I do this, but you know what? My rhinestones stay on for weeks and they
don’t come off until I pull them off. So apply your rhinestones however you want to apply
your rhinestones. This is just the way that I do it. And that’s it. That’s how I created this design
and I am extremely happy with how these turned out. I love them. I want to give a huge thank
you to Jord for sending me this beautiful watch to share with you guys and make sure
to let them and I know which watch of theirs is your favorite down in the comments below.
