beginners abstract painting for children

feeling a little art craft crazy hi i’m Donna from art craft crazy today we’re going to be doing an abstract
painting now emma is going to show you her version of abstract art it is fantastic for a beginer artist Emma is only 8 now abstract art has been around and it began in 1911. The meaning of abstract art is it can be a painting or sculpture, that
does not depict person, place or thing in the natural world. Even in an
extremely distorted or an exaggerated way therefore the subject, or the work is
based on what you see. colour, shapes, brush strokes, size scale and in some cases the process abstract began in 1911 with such works as this one…called “Picture with a circle” this was done in 1911 by Russian artist Waserly kandinsky, Waserly believed that colours provoke emotions now I think abstract art is ideal for beginners, now Emma here she’s only 8 so I thought this was ideal… an
ideal way to get her started with painting, now we can do join the dots and you know, pre-printed pictures and all that for for her to learn how to draw and paint. so this way it gives her a free-range
and she can use whatever color she likes she can mix them up she can make any one colour stand out more than others and she can blend them together and it’s a good
starting point so the more if these she does she’ll get more of an idea of exactly what abstract painting is. And that
will develop her skills as an artist as she grows and develops so give your kids some paint let them drop the dots on the
paper or how ever they want to start it off and give them free rein and see what
they come up with I’m Donna from art craft crazy thanks for watching and bye for now head
