Adoption Awareness Month – Circus of the Heart 2019

At the Minnesota Department of Human Services,
we are so thrilled for all the families created through adoption. November is Adoption Awareness Month, a time
when we honor and thank families who have adopted children from foster care over the
last year. One way we do this is through and annual event
we co-host with county, non-profit and private agencies called Celebrate Adoption: Circus
of the Heart. Now in its 22nd year, Circus of the Heart
offers all kinds of fun for families, including games, music, activities for teens, prize
drawings, and much more. It also helps us raise awareness about the
need for adoptive parents, and provide information to people interested in adopting children
from the foster care system. Whether you’re an adoptive family looking
to have a fun Sunday afternoon, or just someone who wants more information about the adoption
process, we hope you’ll join us. And to all the adoptive families out there,
thank you for all you’ve done for these youths – giving the foundation and love they need
to thrive.
